Contaminated Pond is a Side Quest in Everdream Valley.
Unlocking
Contaminated Pond is unlocked by exploring the northmost peninsula of the Northwest Island.

*Clean up trash and weeds around the pond.
*Remove the dry bushes from around the pond.
*Find out what should grow around the pond.
*Plant calamus around the pond. (0/100)

Guide
At the location where you receive this quest, you'll find a bunch of trash, dead bushes, and weeds growing around the gross pond. You need to clear the trash, weeds, and dead bushes from around the area. You can either cut the bushes down or dig them up.
Once you finish those two tasks, the next one requires you to go back to the farm and talk to Grandma. Make sure you finished the first two tasks before talking the Grandma. Occasionally, this will soft lock the quest if you don't.
When you talk to Grandma, she will tell you about what to plant around ponds and give you some Calamus seeds. Take the seeds back to the Contaminated Pond and sow them around the quest marker. Once you are finished, the quest should complete and you should get a notification that a new dream is available.
Next time you sleep, you should get a visit from a frog named Jeramiah. He tells you that thanks to you, the fish have returned to the ponds.
*This quest is currently bugged - there does not seem to be any fish spawns in the finished pond as far as anyone can tell.
