The merchant has offered you to start a horse breeding farm, but first you will have to breed your first stallion. You will find his approximate location on the map. Remember that the horse is frightened and can be very skittish.

Unlocking

A Horse In The Valley is unlocked after completing Bring the Pigs to the Farm and then talking to the Merchant.

Guide

This quest is locked behind the Northwest Bridge that requires nails to fix. Completing the quest Bring the Pigs to the Farm and viewing the Pig Dream will give you the nails needed to advance this quest. Then, you will need to complete the first task of Get Rid Of The Water From The Boar's Home to be able to walk past the cliff blocking your way further into the area.

There is a bridge just past the cliff. This one only requires wood to fix.

Explore the area and head towards the quest marker. Eventually, you will find several stallions hanging out in a field. You only need to grab one and bring him back to the farm to complete the quest.

Side note: To unlock riding the horse, you need to win the Horse Dream Race.
